by Robert M. Mondoy [129] In every age, O loving God, you have been our safety, our haven, our refuge, our loving God. 1. You return us to dust, children of the earth back to earth. For in the eyes a thousand years are like a single day: and they pass away. swifter than sleep. Antiphon 2. You sweep away the years like the dawn sweeps away dreams, just like the grass at dawn, so fresh; but wilted, faded, dried by the eventide; so are our lives. Antiphon 3. Do teach us now to make full use of all our days, Plant in our hearts the wisdom to see things just as they are. Come, Lord, be not far! Pity your servants. Antiphon 4. At every dawn do shine, shine on us all of your love. Gladden our days and we'll exult and put our joy in you; Bless the work we do; God, do bless us.
